Police detained a driver who drove a vehicle into the courtyard of the Patriarchate, causing damage to property.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the person has been charged under Article 187 of the Criminal Code, which covers the damage or destruction of another person’s property resulting in significant harm.

The vehicle entered the Patriarchate courtyard, damaging a security barrier and breaking through the main gate. Witnesses at the scene said that the driver was allegedly making insulting remarks directed at the church and the Patriarch while driving onto the property.
