Italian documentarians are filming a movie about Georgia’s tourism potential

Organized by the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, a filming crew of Italian documentarians visited Georgia.

The media tour was held with the support of the Embassy of Georgia in Italy.

The media representatives are preparing a one-hour documentary film about Georgia for the TV company Gambero Rosso TV. Gambero Rosso TV is one of the most popular television companies in Italy in the field of travel and culinary arts. The film will showcase Georgia's tourist destinations, culture, gastronomy, and wine.

“Italian documentarians are preparing a 1-hour film about Georgia. They traveled around Georgia, filming the authentic Georgian environment, culture, gastronomy, and UNESCO heritage sites, ultimately preparing a film that will be broadcast by the Italian media. It should be noted that this project was carried out in active cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia in Italy. We believe that such media projects contribute to raising awareness of Georgia in various countries. This TV show enjoys high credibility, and we think that many travelers will accept this show as a guide and will definitely choose Georgia as a destination to travel to”, - said Maia Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration.

The filming took place in Tbilisi, Signagi, Tsinandali, Alaverdi, Ateni, Uplistsikhe, Chiatura, near the Katskhi Pillar, at the Shaori Reservoir, in Ambrolauri, Vardzia, etc.
