The trial of the former head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili, is underway at the Tbilisi City Court. Grigol Liluashvili himself is attending the trial.

The prosecution’s evidence will be examined today. The prosecutor in the case, Mariam Berdzenishvili, commented on the issue to the media.

“Those people who will confirm, including Grigol Liluashvili’s guilt, will be questioned in court. Of course, there is no such situation here that we have a person who talks about every detail from beginning to end in relation to all the actions charged - it is logical, such a thing cannot exist in nature. In general, the difficulty of our profession and the case is that every witness has information within their own limits. We must then reconcile all this, analyze it, and it is precisely on this basis that the court must make a decision”, - states the prosecutor of the case

Let us remind you that the former head of the State Security Service, Grigol Liluashvili, is accused of taking a bribe in a particularly large amount by a group by prior agreement, which provides for imprisonment from 11 to 15 years.
