According to the National Environmental Agency, intermittent precipitation is expected across most of Georgia on May 15-16, heavy in some places. Thunderstorms, hail, strong westerly winds, and a 3-4 magnitude storm at sea are possible.
The expected precipitation may cause a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flash floods on small rivers, and the initiation or activation of landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous zones [danger level – medium].
