Yesterday was a great day for our society. At Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, on the holy throne of the Georgian Church founded by Andrew the First-Called, Catholicos-Patriarch Shio III was enthroned. I would like to congratulate His Holiness and Beatitude on his enthronement and wish him strength in carrying the heavy cross entrusted to him by our Holy Patriarch Ilia II, so that the core values embedded in our faith may be fully upheld, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament stated during the plenary session.

As he noted, society witnessed a rare historical event, and the day was marked with particular joy.
