Police seized large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances in Tbilisi - 2 persons arrested

Officers of Old Tbilisi Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 2 persons on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances. One of them is a foreign citizen.

As a result of a personal search, as well as search activities held in a vehicle belonging to one of them, law enforcement officers seized a large quantity of narcotics and psychotropic substances as evidence - 500 “Pregabalin” pills and up to 2 kg of dried “marijuana”.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 260-4 and 261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
