The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, together with the Honorary Chairman of Georgian Dream Bidzina Ivanishvili, President Mikheil Kavelashvili, Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, and members of the Government and Parliament, attended the enthronement of the newly elected Patriarch at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.

The enthronement of His Holiness and Beatitude Shio III, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Archbishop of Mtskheta-Tbilisi, and Metropolitan of Bichvinta and Tskhum-Abkhazia, took place during the festive liturgy dedicated to the Day of Saint Andrew the First-Called and the Apportionment of Georgia as the Domain of the Mother of God.

The solemn divine service was celebrated by Patriarch Shio III together with church hierarchs and members of the clergy.
