The expectation is that God’s will to be revealed today and Georgia will have a worthy Catholicos-Patriarch. Such a statement made Andria Jagmaidze, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Patriarchate.

As he added, part of the process will be open and part will be closed.

“The voting is similar to what it was at the previous Synod, except here it will be between 3 candidates, and they will choose the Catholicos-Patriarch. The expectation is that God’s will to be revealed today and Georgia will have a worthy Catholicos-Patriarch. The opening will be public, then there will be the voting process, and finally the announcement. It will be broadcast in segments”, - added Andria Jagmaidze.
