Traffic around Holy Trinity Cathedral restricted in several directions

Today, May 11, due to the election of the Patriarch, vehicular traffic will be restricted in several directions around the Holy Trinity Cathedral from 09:00 until 18:00. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is releasing the detailed schedule.

“In connection with the election of the Patriarch of Georgia, on May 11, from 09:00 to 06:00, vehicular traffic will be temporarily restricted around the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the following directions:

-Vehicular traffic will be banned from Bukhaidze Street toward Samreklo Street;
-Vehicular traffic will also be partially restricted on Bukhaidze Street. Movement on this section will be allowed for pedestrians only;
-Vehicular traffic will be restricted on Akhvlediani Square and Akhvlediani Ascent, as well as from Niabi Street toward Gumbri Street;
-Near the “Avlabari” metro station, vehicular traffic will be restricted from Gonashvili Street toward Meskhishvili Street.

A parking space will be set up on Akhvlediani Square and Khetagurovi Street, from where it will be possible to travel toward the Trinity Cathedral via specially designated minibuses, or on foot via Akhvlediani Street. It is also possible on foot from “Avlabari” metro station via Gonashvili Street”, - says the agency.
