At the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, Georgian students won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals

At the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) held in Thessaloniki, Greece, Georgian students won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.

The medalists are students from the Vladimir Komarov Physics and Mathematics Public School No. 199:

Giorgi Gumberidze – Silver Medal;
Sandro Zhgenti – Bronze Medal;
Aleksandre Katsia – Bronze Medal;
Tevdore Onashvili – Bronze Medal;
Irakli Sherozia – Bronze Medal.

The team leaders are teachers from the Vladimir Komarov School – Ivane Kobaidze and Ivane Kvitashvili. The Georgian national team was formed based on the National Curriculum Olympiads and additional selection rounds.The visit of the Georgian students to Greece was funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia. A total of 24 countries participated in this year`s Balkan Mathematical Olympiad.
