We will work actively in all directions to maintain a high rate of economic growth and high indicators of fiscal consolidation, and to further replenish our foreign exchange reserves - the maximum effort will be made for this. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this at today’s Government meeting.
As he noted, amid positive trends, the National Bank of Georgia additionally replenished foreign exchange reserves by $154.2 million in April.
“Accordingly, reserves have reached a record high of USD 6.47 billion. The GEL exchange rate maintains its stability. For all of this, we should thank the entire economic team - the economic team of our Government, the National Bank, and the President of the National Bank. In the future, we will continue to work actively in all directions to maintain a high rate of economic growth and high indicators of fiscal consolidation, and to further replenish our foreign exchange reserves - the maximum will be done for this”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
