Georgian Foreign Minister denied allegations that the Government was engaging in anti-European rhetoric, describing the official stance as a necessary reaction to "unfair" external pressure.

"As for the concerns frequently raised about supposed anti-European rhetoric, we have an answer for that too.

No anti-Western rhetoric exists on our side. Any reactions from Georgian political figures or circles are strictly a response to the actions we observe coming from the bureaucracy in Brussels. When politicians provide an answer, it should not be interpreted as anti-European rhetoric. These are simply reactions to the unfair steps we see being taken against our country. If you look at those resolutions, you will see a lot of unfairness and misinformation.

You can check the 10 resolutions passed by the European Parliament in the last 4 years and you`ll find much of the same.

There are so many narratives in these documents that make them worthless, as they are disconnected from reality and portray a very heavy image of Georgia", - said Maka Botchorishvili.
