Name of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara will be changed to the "Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara"

At an extraordinary plenary session of the Supreme Council of Adjara, Chaired by Tsotne Ananidze, amendments to the Law "On the Structure, Powers, and Rules of Operation of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara" were discussed and adopted through a simplified procedure in a single reading.

The Draft Law was presented at the session by the Minister of Agriculture of Adjara, Denis Salukvadze. According to the Draft Law initiated by the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic, the name of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara will be changed to the "Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara".

As a result of this change, the name of the ministry will be brought into full compliance with the agency`s areas of governance, objectives, and competencies.
