Head of Government Administration of Georgia opens a Regional Conference of Central European and Baltic States

Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration of Georgia opened the Central European and Baltic States (CEBS) Regional Conference.

In his speech, Levan Zhorzholiani emphasized the importance of developing an intellectual property protection system and harmonizing it with international standards, and spoke about the steps taken by the Government of Georgia in this direction: "Our goal is to create an environment where innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship receive strong support and become one of the key driving forces of economic growth. Today, design is a strategic business asset that increases the market value of products and strengthens competitiveness".

According to the Head of Government Administration, Georgia continues to actively strengthen its national intellectual property system and integrate it into the international arena: "It is important for us that Georgian designers and entrepreneurs have access to modern, effective and internationally recognized protection mechanisms. I am confident that this conference will mark the beginning of new cooperation and initiatives that will further strengthen our joint efforts in the protection of intellectual property and the development of the creative economy.

The international conference, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia - SAKPATENTI, brings together representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the host country as well as members of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
