Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside the Chairman of Parliament Shalva Papuashvili, the Regional Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party Dimitri Samkharadze, and the Leader of the Parliamentary Majority Irakli Kirtskhalia, presented the new Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic, Zurab Pataradze, to the members of the Supreme Council of Adjara and the delegates of the Parliament of Georgia from the Adjara region.

The meeting was also attended by the new Minister of Internal Affairs and former Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, Sulkhan Tamazashvili.

“First of all, I would like to thank Sulkhan Tamazashvili, who carried out fruitful and successful work in the position of the Chairman of the Government of Adjara. In a very short time, he eliminated serious problems and laid the foundation for projects significant for the region. I want to wish him success in the position of Minister of Internal Affairs.

As for Zurab Pataradze, I present him for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. As you know, in previous years, Mr. Zura worked in the diplomatic service as the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan. I can boldly say that he carried out extremely important activities in our friend and partner country, and now he will return to his native region. I am sure that he will begin fulfilling his duties with doubled energy. I want to thank each member of the Supreme Council for standing by Sulkhan Tamazashvili, and I also thank you for the unconditional support of the new candidate”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
