The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, held a meeting with U.S. Congressman, Brian Mast (R), representing the State of Florida, who serves as the chariman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The Congressman is a decorated US veteran.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude toward the congressman for his support during the hearings of the act regarding Georgia`s sovereignty in the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The discussion also touched upon the occupation of Georgian territories by Russia and the recent achievements in terms of the positive dynamics in US-Georgian bilateral relations. The Ambassador underscored Georgia`s unique role, in terms of the development of "The Middle Corridor", as well as the region`s potential.
