The Prime Minister of Georgia announced today that Sulkhan Tamazashvili would assume the position of Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
“Sulkhan Tamazashvili will take the position of Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia. I would like to thank him for his successful work as the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. Governance issues were significantly improved in many areas within Adjara, numerous changes were implemented, and many new projects were launched under his leadership. I would like to thank him for all of this. He is very well known within the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and is an experienced representative of this system. I wish him success in his new role as minister of Internal Affairs”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
As he added, a new candidate for the leadership of Adjara’s Government would be announced soon: “A candidate for the chair of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara will be named in the coming days, following consultations with the President and the Supreme Council of Adjara”.
