The Prime Minister of Georgia said that Geka Geladze is set to become Head of the State Security Service of Georgia.
He highlighted Geladze’s performance in leading the Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA], noting progress in combating organized crime and drug-related offences, as well as the implementation of systemic reforms within the ministry.
“We would like to ask the Parliament to elect Mr. Geka Geladze as the head of the state security service during the next plenary week. I would like to emphasise the significant achievements of the MIA over these months, particularly in combating organized crime, drug-related crimes, and in many other areas. I would also like to highlight the systemic reforms and changes that were carried out within the ministry. For all of this, I would like to thank Geka Geladze and wish him success in his new position”, -said Irakli Kobakhidze.
