Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Eugene Rugenath, Executive Director of the World Bank discussed cooperation between Georgia and the global development organization in D.C. today.

The meeting focused on ongoing projects financed by the World Bank across various sectors of the economy, including energy, road infrastructure, human capital development and others.

They also reviewed Georgia„s recent economic achievements driven by economic growth and sound fiscal and monetary policies, as well as cooperation with the Bank regarding planned large-scale infrastructure projects. The meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, Ambassador of Georgia to the United States Tamar Taliashvili, as well as the MOF Department Heads for Public Debt Management and Budgeting Irakli Kacharava and Natia Guluа.
