Officers of the Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a previously convicted individual, D.Sh. (born in 1953), on charges of premeditated murder.

The investigation established that in the Sagarejo municipality, the accused stabbed his neighbor, G.K. (born in 1969), with a sharp object following a verbal dispute and fled the scene.

G.K. died on the spot from the injuries sustained.

As a result of investigative measures, law enforcement officers arrested the suspect, D.Sh., shortly after the incident. The murder weapon - a knife - has been seized as evidence.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
