President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People`s Republic of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian.
The meeting highlighted the positive dynamics of the strategic partnership and the ongoing development of bilateral relations between Georgia and China. The discussion also focused on fruitful cooperation in the fields of trade and economy, tourism, culture, sports and education.
During the meeting, the President of Georgia highlighted the importance of cooperation under the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the development of the Middle Corridor. He further noted that Georgia stands ready to support the advancement, security and effective functioning of the Middle Corridor. The parties also reaffirmed their unconditional support for each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Palace of Georgia.
