Today, by our decision, a new institution will be established called the Economic Development Corporation of Georgia. Such a statement made the Prime Minister of Georgia.

"This institution will be created based on the "Enterprise Georgia" agency and will merge several functions, including those of the Georgia Development Fund.

In particular, new instruments will be added to the "Enterprise Georgia" program, and existing ones will be optimized, resulting in increased access to finance for the private sector.

The new initiatives include initiated loans and capital market development tools. Special attention will be paid to specific sectors, including energy, where companies will have increased access to cheap loans. An Investment Agency will be formed as an independent body within the Ministry of Economy, which will work actively to attract new foreign investment to Georgia", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
