Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the one-on-one meeting, the dignitaries emphasized the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries and their productive cooperation across various sectors.
Particular attention was paid to deepening economic ties and to the role of the Azerbaijan-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, whose next session is scheduled to be held in Georgia in the near future. Special emphasis was also placed on the importance of peace in the region. The Head of Government noted that Georgia welcomes the ongoing dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which represents an important step toward regional stability and development.
The parties also discussed the situation in the Middle East, highlighting the importance of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and restore peace.
