The Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Richard Raši, hosted the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and his accompanying delegation at a working dinner.
During the meeting, focus was placed on the prospects of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation. It was noted that collaboration between the legislative bodies holds a distinguished place in the relations between Georgia and Slovakia.
The traditionally existing friendly ties between the Georgian and Slovak peoples, their cultural proximity, and shared values were emphasized. The parties reviewed ongoing global events and highlighted the common geopolitical challenges facing both countries.
The meeting was attended by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia; Giorgi Zurabashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Konstantine Kvachakidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenary of Georgia to the Slovak Republic; and representatives of the Administration of the President of Georgia.
