Kvemo Kartli police seized a large amount of drugs, over 1 kg – 1 foreign citizen detained

Officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a citizen of Turkmenistan, R.B., born in 1987, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of especially large amount of drugs.

During defendant`s personal search and search activities held in temporary residential apartments, the police seized more than 1 kilogram of the drug "Alpha PVP" as evidence.

A comprehensive investigation conducted by law enforcement officers into the aforementioned criminal case has established that the foreign citizen was planning to sell a large amount of drugs using the so-called "placing" method.

The police have also seized materials necessary for packaging drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
