The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, held a meeting with U.S. Congressman, Jim Baird (R), representing the State of Indiana, who serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee (as well as Science, and Agriculture Committees). The Congressman is a decorated War veteran.

During the meeting, the representative and the ambassador discussed the development of bilateral relations, as well as the recent improvement in related dynamics. The discussion also touched upon as Georgia`s unique geographic position, economic potential and historic role in terms of the development of "The Middle Corridor".

Ambassador Taliashvili emphasized her appreciation for the support of the representative over Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
