Representatives of the US State Department made a note in the book of condolences opened at the Georgian Embassy in the US regarding the death of Ilia II

The Acting Deputy Secretary of State, Peter Andreoli left a message in the book of condolences opened for the passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia, Ilia II. The information is published by Tamar Taliashvili, the Georgian Ambassador to the United States.

He expressed his sympathies and underscored the special contribution of the Patriarch to Georgia.

Other representatives of the Department of State also signed the book of condolences, including the Special Assistant of the Office of the Secretary of State, Charles Yockey.
