Growth of export competitiveness is supported by state programs for small and medium-sized enterprise support, as well as an attractive investment and business environment - Tsintsadze

In February 2026, according to preliminary data, exports increased by 26.5% and reached a record monthly volume for February – USD 545.9 million USD.

According to Vakhtang Tsintsadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, a significantly high growth is also observed in foreign trade turnover. Furthermore, the export volume for January-February of 2026 reached a record 1,026.3 million USD, which is a 22.9% increase compared to the same period of 2025.

"These trends are driven by the support programs that the Georgian government has in place to increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the attractive investment and business environment. This environment ensures the inflow of foreign direct investment into the country, resulting in the growth of local production and the creation of additional jobs", - said Vakhtang Tsintsadze.

As he added, the competitiveness of local products in international markets is further facilitated by the free trade agreements that Georgia has with various countries around the world.
