After the start of military actions, several hundred of our citizens remained in the Arab Gulf countries. Four charters were organized by the state from Oman and Saudi Arabia, and as a result, 558 of our fellow citizens returned to Georgia. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“Our citizens found themselves in a quite difficult situation after the start of military actions. Several hundred of our citizens remained in the Arab Gulf countries. First of all, I would like to thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister, the ambassadors - especially our Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Gia Janjgava, as well as Vako Avaliani in Qatar, Nikoloz Revazishvili in Saudi Arabia - and also every employee of these embassies. It was the result of their daily efforts that our citizens returned safely to their homeland.

Four state charters were organized by the government from Oman and Saudi Arabia, and as a result, 558 of our compatriots returned to Georgia. All flights were fully funded by the state. Thanks to the Ministry of Economy and the Minister for their efforts. All of this was very important for us to maximize the protection of our citizens’ safety”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
