General Director of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, Gigla Tamazashvili, along with the employees of the company;’s relevant departments, met with local government representatives, farmers, and population in Shida Kartli region. The meeting theme was the irrigation water service subsidy scheme, the need of signing the water use schedule agreement in time, as well as the challenges related to the beginning of the 2026 irrigation season, and ways to solve them.

As the General Director said, such meetings and face to face communication with farmers, before the beginning of the irrigation season, are important for a timely and effective responding to existing needs.

The company’s Commercial Director, Mameli Kobalia, introduced the meeting participants in details the issues related to subsidizing the irrigation water supply service fee.

At the meeting it was emphasized that signing of an agreement with the company by water users ensures right management of water resources, irrigation water regular supply, and guaranteed irrigation of agricultural lands. “Georgian Amelioration” warns consumers to sign water use schedule agreements with the company in time.

The meeting was held in an interactive mode; Farmers received answers to important questions for them, including - what results will the new tariff bring in terms of developing the amelioration system and improving the service quality. Similar meetings are planned in all municipalities in order the water users to receive relevant information, and sign contracts in time, that ensures a high standard of service.
