Mariam Kvrivishvili discussed trade and economic relations between the two countries with the Ambassador of Slovakia

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the Ambassador of Slovakia to Georgia, Matúš Bušovský.

The meeting focused on trade and economic ties between the two countries and bilateral economic relations.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the economic cooperation agreement signed between the governments of Georgia and Slovakia within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, and the creation of an economic commission.

The sides discussed cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, energy, logistics, real estate, civil aviation, and tourism. The particular interest of Slovak business circles in investing in specific sectors of the Georgian economy was emphasized.

The commencement of direct flights between Georgia and Slovakia was positively assessed at the meeting. It was noted that the Georgian side welcomes an increase in both flight frequency and the number of destinations between the cities of the two countries, which will ensure the strengthening of people-to-people ties, growth in tourist flows, and the deepening of business relations.
