The President of Georgia met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), Pere Joan Pons Sampietro.

Mikheil Kavelashvili welcomed the OSCE PA President’s visit to Georgia and emphasized that Pere Joan Pons Sampietro’s visit provides a good opportunity to hold discussions on current issues and deepen future cooperation.

The conversation touched upon the ongoing political processes in the country.

The President also noted that since 2012, Georgia has been and remains a firm supporter of democratic principles, human rights, and the rule of law.

He further stressed that Georgia continues to act as a constructive and responsible participating state, committed to strengthening multilateral cooperation and dialogue.

The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace.
