Members of the Parliamentary Delegation Met with Congressman Andy Ogles

As part of their visit to the United States, members of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, Mariam Lashkhi, Lika Shartava, and Eka Sepashvili, met with Congressman Andy Ogles.

The discussions centred on Georgia`s strategic partnerships with the US, the EU, and China. The delegates also addressed Georgia`s foreign policy and the reset of Georgian-US relations.

One of the key topics discussed was the development prospects of the Middle Corridor. Issues related to cybersecurity were also on the agenda. It was emphasised that cooperation in security, including cybersecurity, remains a vital aspect of the strategic partnership. The meeting also underscored the importance of supporting Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting was attended by Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia`s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the US. The delegation was led by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. It also included Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Lika Shartava, Member of the European Integration Committee, Eka Sepashvili, Deputy Chairperson of the People`s Power political group.
