Georgia ready to reset US relations and rebuild strategic partnership – Botchorishvili

Georgia is ready and welcomes the transition of our relations with the US to a normal regime, with the renewal of a strategic partnership from a genuinely clean slate. Such a statement made today the Georgian Foreign Minister.

“We have repeatedly discussed the state of our relations with the United States, along with the reasons behind their current status. We have consistently stated that Georgia is ready and welcomes the normalization of relations with the United States, with a fresh start that allows us to build a partnership based on mutual interests.

Georgia has always been a committed contributor to the transatlantic agenda, an important regional partner, and naturally, we expect that the US will recognize that our relations merit such attention. You are aware that the Trump administration, as well as the current US administration, inherited a challenging legacy in terms of bilateral relations. We hope that we will see some progress soon”, - said Maka Botchorishvili.
