A session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Armenia was convened under the joint chairmanship of the Prime Ministers of both countries. Irakli Kobakhidze and Nikol Pashinyan discussed the positive momentum in deepening partnership across various sectors, as well as prospects for the future.

“A wide variety of formats have been established between our countries, and this is having a positive effect on the development of our partnership.

Armenia consistently features among Georgia’s top-10 trading partners. In terms of visitor numbers from Armenia to Georgia, Armenia ranks in the top three. Beyond our trade and economic ties, we are united by a very close cooperation in areas such as education, culture, people-to-people contacts, and strategic initiatives.

Against this backdrop, there exists significant potential to deepen cooperation across all sectors further. Maintaining stability in the region remains of paramount importance. We are encouraged by the positive trends that have emerged in our region in recent times.

The peace agreement concluded between your country and Azerbaijan was of great significance. All of this provides an excellent foundation upon which to work still harder for the strengthening and development of our region.
