An employee of the Imereti Police Department was arrested on drug charges

The employees of the General Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested L.Ch., born in 1999, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs.

According to the agency, during a personal search of L.Ch., an employee of the Imereti Police Department, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of the narcotic drug "Methadone" as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 260, Part 2, Subparagraph “A” of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years.
