Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, together with the Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani and Giorgi Papava, Head of Tbilisi Service Group Ltd., issued a video message on Facebook in response to reports of worsening weather conditions.

“Heavy precipitation has been forecast for Tbilisi and its integrated territories tonight. All relevant municipal services are on standby. All necessary road-clearing operations will be carried out with the appropriate equipment. I want to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA] for its cooperation.

During the last major snowfall, we established an excellent working relationship with them. We received real-time data promptly, and the patrol police assisted in ensuring road safety. Should the need arise, a hotline is available where you can call, and we will do everything in our power to resolve any issues that emerge”, - said Kakha Kaladze.

“All relevant departments of the City Hall have moved to a 24-hour operational footing, as have all district administrations. We are fully mobilised on every front, and wherever public transport movement may be disrupted, we will respond immediately. We are also maintaining ongoing communication with all relevant agencies, including the MIA, to obtain real-time updates on potential delays and emerging issues. We will address every challenge to the best of our ability and will do our utmost to ensure there are no unresolved issues”, - noted Irakli Bendeliani.

“We are in a state of complete technical readiness, with full mobilisation at all salting depot locations. Our personnel have shifted to round-the-clock operations. Heavy machinery and road salt supplies are more than sufficient to handle precipitation of any kind.

Besides, 200 staff members have been deployed across the entire city, including its integrated territories, to conduct rapid patrols by light vehicle, ready to respond immediately wherever snow accumulates, roads ice over, or any other problems arise”, - added Giorgi Papava.
