The Ambassador of the United Kingdom has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

Gareth Ward arrived at the agency a few minutes ago. Official Tbilisi is demanding an explanation from the Ambassador regarding the reasons behind the decision made concerning Imedi and POSTV.

The ruling team is speaking of an attack on free media and an attempt to restrict TV stations. Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili announced the summoning of the UK Ambassador to the ministry during the program “Ghamis Kurieri” (“Night Courier”).
