Employees of the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on charges of abuse of official power, arrested R.Ch., born in 1985, on the basis of a judge`s ruling.

The investigation established that the head of one of the departments of the Security Police Department, while carrying out the protection and escort of oversized cargo, abused his official power.

In particular, the accused person provided false information regarding the route and mileage of the cargo movement to the person compiling the relevant documentation at the service. Based on the above mentioned violation, he recorded a lower mileage in the official protocol in favor of the customer, thereby grossly violating the legitimate interest of the state.

As a result of the investigation carried out by the General Inspection, R.C. was arrested as an accused person. The investigation is underway under Article 332, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years.
