Reform was necessary, research was necessary, the results are visible - David Gurgenidze

A presentation of the labor market research was held at the Government Administration. The Prime Minister introduced the data to the public.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the labor market analysis revealed that approximately 14,400 students should graduate from universities annually. Alignment with market demands will occur gradually, and one of the primary goals of the reform is to refine vocational education and enhance its quality.

The research also showed that only 60% of employees today need a diploma in the workplace.

The presentation was also attended by university rectors and representatives of business associations. According to the rector of the Georgian Technical University, David Gurgenidze, research was necessary: “The reform was necessary, the research was necessary, and we have the results. Using the example of the Technical University, this was a step forward”.
