Irakli Garibashvili meets Turkey’s new Ambassador

Georgian Prime Minister met the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Ali Kaan Orbai.

Irakli Garibashvili congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his future endeavors.

Ali Kaan Orbai passed on warm regards from the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to Irakli Garibashvili.

The conversation focused on the strategic partnership between the two countries, with emphasis on the impressive results achieved over the past few years in the strategic partnership between the two countries, also on the political dynamic of high-level bilateral relations, and the engagement and active cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Turkey on projects of regional geostrategic importance.

According to the Prime Minister, the further development of the effective cooperation with the Republic of Turkey as a strategic partner in every direction of cooperation is important for the region’s security, as well as for stable and sustainable development.

The issues discussed also included the situation in the region. The parties underlined the importance of peace and stability for the region’s further development and long-term prosperity.
