Nine cases of coronavirus confirmed in Kazbegi

Nine coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Kazbegi municipality. According to the Mayor of Kazbegi Alexandre Zagashvili, the epidemiological situation is calm and under control.

He added that all the cases are related to employees of the Larsi checkpoint, at the Russia-Georgia border in Kazbegi.

“The contacts of the coronavirus-infected Larsi employees have been identified. The coronavirus confirmed contacts were brought to the hospital. Other contacts of Larsi employees are in self isolation. In order to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, citizens are undergoing thermal screening and tests are being conducted in the area”, - said Zagashvili.
