Moscow hopes that the U.S. and NATO will stop inciting Georgia against Russia – reads the text prepared for an annual press conference held by Sergey Lavrov, acting Foreign Minister of Russia.
“The actual threat of escalation of tension and the main challenge for regional security in the South Caucasus is the speeded build-up of military-political development on part of the NATO across the territory of Georgia.
We witness political and military-technical cooperation of the alliance and Washington with Georgia. We hope that the U.S. and NATO take our warnings seriously and stop inciting Georgia against Russia. Normalization of bilateral relationship is in our constant interest”, - reads the statement.
