"The Battle for Political Influence in the Georgian Orthodox Church "-" Jamestown Foundation "publishes an article

The Battle for Political Influence in the Georgian Orthodox Church- The article is published by the American Analytical Organization "Jamestown Foundation".
The article points out that the Church has a great impact on the Georgian society and its current internal struggle may have a significant impact on whether the pro-Western orientation of the country will be maintained.
The article also states that only nine of the 47 members of the Holy Synod of the Georgian Church support the autocephaly of the Ukrainian Church in some form. According to the author, only three Metropolitans expressed their support openly, while the rest 38 are against the recognition of the autocephaly of the Church of Ukraine, including the Patriarch of Georgia, who, according to experts, has close ties to the Russian Church.
