More than 100 million stolen from 40,000 people - criminals were detained in Georgia

More than 100 million stolen from accounts of 40,000 people. Georgian citizens are among victims as well.

Those persons who created a computer virus and withdrew a large amount from bank accounts were detained in Georgia.

The investigation found that the group in Georgia was able to access thousands of bank cards through the virus and they were able to withdraw money.

According to "Courier", there are banks among the victims.

Investigative activities in United States and European countries, including Georgia continued for two years.

Reportedly the organized group members of the cybercrime group were in Georgia.

According to the statement released by the Prosecutor"s Office ,two hackers were detained in Georgia. The court sentenced them to preliminary detention.
